Sad that she left WGN a couple of years ago. Working for community relations at the station behind the scenes, doing hosting duties on the station's special events, and even being doing some midday lottery drawings on her last years. But she will forever be known as one of finest staff announcers they ever had on Channel 9. Dean Richards can't even compare to Ms. Dee. Very recognizable throughout Chicago and the whole country. Nobody but nobody did the announcement better than Merri Dee for WGN's "Weekend At The Movies" An absolute credit to the institution. A Brilliant 10!!
