when i was like 7 I had one of those weird skinny looking skatboards in 1982, but I couldnt stand up so I just sat on my knee with it, lol, i think it was hard plastic? weird little wheels then I got a kamakazee in 1987 then i got a gator in 1988, that was the years when you were called a poser if you were not good at skating, I knew how to skate but not all those weird tricks like a ho ho or a handplant, i wasnt trying to be pro I just liked skating like riding a bike.

Fuck it all. If you wanna skate, skate. Don't shit on other styles, just do what makes you happy. If you are into the best tricks and learning them - don't bag others out because they can't do them or they aren't into it. Skating these days is one big giant competition. Sure competition is fun but all the laughs seem to be gone. Have a good time, it's what it's for.

@TheGodfatherRulo Millionaire corporations have perverted skateboarding in this day and age? HaHaHa! Like who, World Industries? Who runs that deal? Since the early 90's the skateboard industry has been run by skaters for the most part and Tony Alva was the beginning of that. The price of a skateboard hasn't really changed over the years and still it's a lot of money. Jay Adams always had to have fresh wheels to skate. $kateboarding's a luxury. Still, your motivation should be a love for it.
