The *facts* are that a tounge doesn't turn blue unless the torque of the bit causes it. Even when Kittle shoves the tounge back in, he *never* lets up on the curb and continues to work the horse in rollkur for 120 minutes. Anyone can see the horse is completely on the forehand and Kittle is pulling back on the reins the whole time. The gaits on this horse are deteriorating and next will come suspensory injuries for shoving him on the forehand the whole time. Abusive riding, case closed.

The image of Dressage is appalling, it use to be the 'ideal', how everyone should ride.  Now it is an example of how NOT to ride your horse!

The FEI need to get down off that Fence and BAN Hyperflexion at all competitions.

Interesting that he does NOT ride the horse in the show ring in front of the FEI judges in the obviously inhumane way he does in the schooling ring. Cutting off the circulation to any body part causes it to turn blue. The fact that a human is doing it to a horse, is just wrong. In the US, animal abuse charges could be brought by the ASPCA or the Humane Society.

The problem is I have seen other horses with blue tongues that were in their mouth, not being caught over the bit, while ridden in rollkur by other riders.

Scandic's tongue was blue because it was caught over the bit, not because of RK. And no, I am by no means a RK proponent. Get your facts straight and clean up your language if you want to be heard and make a point. Then we can work on getting abusive techniques out of the ring.
