@DarrylWThomas I can respect your opinion...after all, most who come as teachers or guides will sound this confident (perhaps arrogant). But only take from Tolle what is useful to you. I merely liked his approach to blocking pain and accepting distasteful realities. And as far as E.I. goes, maybe you would benefit from looking at some of the finer points such as avoiding manipulation or getting what you want from your boss. EI also covers dealing w/ jesus freaks-enjoy!

@MrMusicobsession That's another thing these New Age figures have always promoted: enlightened self-interest. There's a big old world "out there" that needs addressing, but they teach that ignoring it and working on personal happiness (and we're really talking about money) is some kind of spiritual evolution. It isn't. The New Age that Tolle represents is all about money. Not that I blame them, cuz without money, you're TOAST. They know $=Happiness. That is why they sell it to others: Big Bucks.

@DarrylWThomas He pointed me to look inside for happiness, not outside, that is all. i have not added anything to myself, i have just uncovered what was already there, with help. simply by stoping unnessasary thoughts (negative thoughts), i did that not him, it is about, stoping people from trying to add things to themself and realising they already have everything. Its a experience not a belief, in the same way you know your hand hurts if you punch a wall, i know i have everything i need.

@MrMusicobsession You DO rely on his wonderfully wise words, if just to become a more effective human. You trust him as an "expert" of sorts. You couldn't do it on your own. You couldn't make your life "better" without reading what Tolle had to say. In other words, you have a theological commitment to anything Tolle says. If Tolle says, "embrace uncertainty," by God you will, if only because of your desire to have someone greater than you to tell you what the "truth" is. You made him God.

@DarrylWThomas I don't rely on him Darrl, His words help me, along side many other teachers, he is not the only one teaching this mate. and for the record, I donated everything i have, i barley have a home, i make money playing guitar, and i have spent the last six months doing charity work.. and i love it!!.. Its about concious doing, not concious not doing. There in alot more to his teachings, that would make sense of that video, whether you like it or not you missed the point :S

@MrMusicobsession I'm glad your life is so brilliant, because that's the most important thing to you New Agers. As long as YOUR life is working out, fuck everyone else. That's not such an enlightened way to live, not considering what is best for all. But beware, you are in a polarity and subject to the Job experience. We will see if your reliance on Tolle will get you through.

@DarrylWThomas Embracing uncertainties is a big part of eckharts teachings. It is also why i am living such a brilliant life. I can see why you debate it, 1 year ago if i stumbled acrooss that video i wouldn't of even watched it. I think it was intended for people that are practicing eckharts teachings, mostly in his books. thats all. Anyway all the best, life is a game mate, play it! ;)

@MrMusicobsession If Tolle's perspectives helps you live a more effective life, then more power to you. That's not what this vlog was about. It was about Tolle presenting his beliefs about "embracing uncertainty" as if they were truths. They are only beliefs, and it's potentially dangerous if people take his beliefs for the 'truth.'
Hey guy, just keep in mind that alot of Tolle is just E.I. practically applied. He is asking us to dispense with our fears in order to attain a clearer perception of the here and now...the spiritual aspect is of vague origin, I'll admit.

@ballparkfrank33 The problem I have with Tolle is that he presents his opinions as if they are undiluted schematics for the truth, which they are not. His opinions, however he came about them, are only the sum of his beliefs. And from what I understand about "emotional intelligence" (EI), it's that it also misleads thru religious nonsense thru appealing to such hopeful gibberish as "connections to higher consciousness" that allegedly help us lead more fulfilling lives. Really?.
