Chris Matthews Unloads On Protester Who Carried Gun To Obama Event

"You're carrying a god damned gun at a Presidential event," Matthews says to protester William Kostric, appearing on "Hardball" to explain why he carried a gun to a health care town hall in Portsmouth, New Hampshire hosted by President Obama. He said he wanted "to be heard" and wanted everyone to be aware of the rights we are losing.

Matthews chides Kostric for bringing a loaded gun to an event where the President would be. "A firearm is a defensive tool," Kostric says. "Who would be silly enough to carry an unarmed firearm?" It is legal to carry guns in New Hampshire.

He concludes that it would have been a safer crowd if everyone at the town hall carried guns.

Also, he said Obama is "a great speaker" and that he voted for Ron Paul.

I love guns and have a cc permit but seriously what is the point of carrying a gun to this event? Why not just carry concealed? Our state has open carry and I never had the inclination to do so. My guess is that people who do are normally insecure men with short dick syndrome. I love it when Chris gets angry you can see that real Philly come out in him.

I think the guy has right to do it. Should he? Who am I to say as long he is complying with his states laws. All making something illegal does is make it more profitable for criminals. How many stabbings happen in the UK I wonder? Crime is crime.
