Hehe! I haven't used a white gas stove I was going to buy the MSR XGE because you can simmer with it! I was thinking the whisperlite but I have enough stove without simmer mode...hehe!

The Reactor with a 230g canister weighs 1lb 12.55 oz. or 28.55 oz What does the JB weigh ?

the JB weighs 23.4oz with a 230g can, the difference isn't huge.

@canadianvirgil I guess the difference of 28.55 oz to 23.40 oz would be huge to a gram weenie...hehe! That's the reason for the Heini cook kits. My complete Heini cook kit weighs only 13.70 oz. and will boil 2 cups in about 10 to 11 min. in summer...haha. Forget Alcy in a Canadian winter, I don't care how much Tinny trys to convince people :o)

Great job bro :o) If that fuel isn't a three fuel mix it shouldn't be classified as 4 season. Butane, Propane, and isobutane. That's what Primus is :o) But it' has a lot to do with the design of the stove itself. The Reactor gives a radiant type heat and has a built in regulator. al this combined with the built in heat exchanger is what makes this stove kick butt...hehe! *****5/5**** :o)

funny enough the Jetboil is very similar to the MSR Reactor, it has a regulator, and a "flux ring" (Heat exchanger) although the MSR reactor boils water significantly faster, although the jetboil is lighter and a little more fuel efficent. They are both solid stoves ,but if your fuel sucks your hooped regardless lol.
