  • @manualhopper Thanks for your comment. I totally agree. The strings are actually the hardest division to faithfully reproduce, and although Makin have done their best, I'm sure there's much better ones out there. However the flutes and diapsons are very convinving.

  • @MrJonnykitkat Yeah it would have been better, I have to say

  • @MonsieurOrgue I love the mixtures on the great. They blend in nicely. I think they break every so often, but I think that's deliberate to mimick real mixtures. The ones on the swell I'm slightly less enthusiastic about (a bit too keen for my liking) and not too impressed with the 2-rank cornet as it doesn't mix too well with the ensemble, and not very strong to use on its own or even with a foundation stop backing it underneath.

  • I think Makin are the best digital pipe organs going. Their instruments are obviously the product of intense commitment, and love of sound. I wasn't ever so convinced by the strings on this organ in particular, however. Mind you, I long for a Makin in our Church!

  • Very nice performance. Shame it's on an electronic instrument, though.

  • As there are no comments yet, I'll start things off. A Very nice performance. We have a somewhat smaller and older Makin at our church, so it is very interesting to watch your videos on this more recent instalment. I'd be interested to know what you think of the mixtures in particular - ours are rather harsh and have a slight drop-off at the end which doesn't help. Are yours like that?

    Regards
