Small piece of advice, visit weekend before Anniversaries. You'll not be stuck on bleechers far away from action[not on actual battlfield anyway] with the crowds an loudpeakers. Walk the battlefields quietly, feel the history, and soldiers ghosts, and enjoy the town and restaurants pleasantly, not a mob scene. Thanks, Scoot Aldrich Co F 42nd Vol Inf The Old Penn Bucktails

@TheRickIRL No,, it isn't.. I has nothing to do with hatin' americans. The word is NOT Calvery... it is Cavalry.... the "V" comes first. The announcer sounds like an idiot. Look it up in a dictionary before you come on here and sound like a total idiot.
Also the word is 'ask'... the 's' comes BEFORE the 'k" That another word americans can't pronounce...
I hear high paid athletes saying ''don't AXE me no questions." don't you guys have real schools?

As much as i like this video,, again the wordl ""Cavalry '' is mispronounced. Even by the professional announcer here.
The word is CAV-EL-RY - not Calvery. I've heard this workd mispronounced on american tv so many times, its frustrating to listen to.

Can you imagine being hit by a cannon ball? Man, that would be nasty.
@Katusha I'm planning on being there for the 150th Anniversary. How about you? I agree. It is an awesome experience.

In the book The Killer Angels, it is described as men going down like bowling balls.
