This video takes you through everything you will need including setting up a password protected, private network between your iPad and your computer. (Sorry the aspect ratio is wrong. The original quickcast was created in 4:3 but is easier to read on YouTube as an HD upload, which is 16:9. Only fix was to completely redo the quickcast in true 16:9. Not happening.)
ink2go is a PC/Mac application which means you need to purchase and install it for each PC/Mac that you are likely to use and of course have the rights to install it - this would effectively knock it out for many computer labs and teaching rooms. However being able to control your projector display even without ink2go still makes the iPad a useful tool for presenting a power point. However it needs to work wireless to wired on the same network - not all labs are wireless
