  • @Majoofi No. Certifiers conduct an annual on-site visit -- many farmers already have this information but with the new Access to Pasture rule from the USDA National Organic Program, there have been changes in paperwork required. Best, Deb Heleba, eOrganic dairy team coordinator

  • I heard once that there is one federal employee in the USDA for every farmer. I wonder if that is true. In any case there is something offensive in requiring dairy ranchers to submit anything to a federal pointy head bossy know it alls for any reason.

    The feds could do more to increase the quality of dairy by abolishing oversight, eliminating corn subsidy's, eliminating laws against raw milk and letting the market weed out bad producers.

  • does this mean the certifier doesn't actually visit the site? that would allow unscrupulous farmers to just draw what ever they want
