  • 2 torpedo actually it's only 1 torpedo and the second torpedo was caused by the bunker

  • the first time that I saw this video was like 10 years ago in a documentary about comics. In that documentary they gave a very important role to this animation. Thanks a lot for share. This remarks the great things that you can watch in the "boring" ARTS channel which is 4 free here in Mexico.

  • Wrong! It was U-20, not U-39, that torpedoed the Lusitania ONCE!

  • I cant make out the wreck 4 some reason... someone help me :|

  • @TubbiusMaximus Ship explosions have produced some of the largest non-atomic explosions of all time. I live about 45 minutes from Port Chicago (ironically in Martinez California). A munitions ship exploded killing hundreds. The ship was vaporized, automobiles and train cars thousands of feet away imploded, and aircraft upwards of 10000ft reported debris being shot past them. Almost as bad was the way the black sailors were treated after the incident.

  • The music is by Gabriel Thibaudeau, a Canadian born in 1957.

  • I was wondering about the music.

Any Idea what the peice is called and who wrote it?

It sounds familiar, but maybe it just reminds me of Brahms or Lizt.

  • @felipe929258 That's what happens when coal dust OR ammunition supplies explode just look at the SS Mont-Blanc,she was filled with explosives and it destroyed the city of Halifax, killed over 2,000 people and she was only 3120 tonnes, the Lusitania was over 30,000 tonnes.

  • God the music is amazing.

  • I got to this video from other Winsor McCay films, and I'm actually surprised. I thought I read a long time ago that no copies of this film existed anymore so I didn't bother to check.

    Thanks for posting!
