Karen Corr's Creative Safety Play

During a recent (Fall 2009) WPBA 9B tournament, Karn Corr found herself straight in on the 6 ball with no reasonable way to progress to the 7 ball. She responded with one of the most courageous, well-played safeties I've ever seen. I doubt very few players could THINK of this safety let alone EXECUTE it.

It was indeed a well executed safety. And she won this particular game by the way.

Karen is a great tactical player. But it did look like it was possible to either go rail first or power stroke the shot to get on the 7. I don't like letting your opponent get back to the table when you don't have to let them. Especially when they are proficient with the jump cue, like Pan is.

I'm no expert by any means, but that WAS a very good safe. I've never seen it executed before. Absolutely not normal.
