I think broodlords were modeled after sting rays.

Ghosts> Vikings imo for tvz late game. Emp for the infestors and snipe on the brood lords as well as nukes to push the army back and clear creep.

@RudyBeoulve - Well a Zerg can expand north from that start, and not take the gold, like Idra did. Then regardless of the fact that Terran had a gold, Idra was still 1 or 2 bases ahead as Terran can't expand as fast as Zerg.
If Idra covered every single base from his start to the north, he could have had a gold up there too, and if Terran moved out to try and take it out, Idra could counter attack into Terran's expos and cause a lot more damage than he would sufffer.
