I agree with you. The big black trapezoid leaves the impression of a big black square hole in the front, and makes the car look even more square and boxy. Stick a license plate in the middle of it and its going to look odd. They should have left that front end on the Lancer, where it works on a lower profile car. Otherwise, its basically the same as a 07-09. Its a great car- and even more fun to drive.
