@MrSantaslave I love Opeth, but frankly I dont care about what they've earned the right to do... nor do they care about what what I think about it. Mikael said it himself he makes music for himself and hes glad people like it but its not for them its a selfish endeavor.

That being said, if I like something or not is my opinion; I dont think its a genius album. You have your own opinions, so do I. I'll also say to you that you should read a little more carefully before you write.

@MrSantaslave I'd like you to please show me where anywhere in my two comments I said that Heritage was a "bad" album. I said it was interesting and that it had no death metal vocals... I also said that Damnation was a tie for me as my second favorite Opeth album... not to mention Damnation is an album in the same vein as Heritage, with no death metal growls and nary a power chord, was a genius album.

I don't see how it's such a big problem that Heritage lacks the metal aspect of Opeth. I mean it's still a genius progressive rock album and I think they've earned it to experiment with their music in such a way. No need to call it a bad album if you don't like it.

@koolmaaan My Arms, Your Hearse is a fucking classic! Killer album. Ghost Reveries is another unbelievable album. Relly great!

For me: My Arms, Your Hearse > Ghost Reveries > Blackwater Park > Damnation > Orchid = Deliverance > Watershed > Still Life > Morningrise > Heritage.

1) Blackwater Park

2) Damnation/ Deliverance equal tie

3) close call between Ghost Reveries and Watershed but GR

4) Morning-rise- alot of great acoustic playing and Mikael vocals

5) "Still life"- sounds a bit like Orchid and My arms your hearse but with their BWP sound forming

6) Heritage totally off the reservation no death metal vocals and not really metal but still interesting... have to listen to it more
