  • this guy's really intelligent.

  • Crack The Skye is really just amazing. From first listen to every following listen, I just love it more and more. It's a shame that it wasn't nominated for a grammy at all, when crap like a Linken Park live song was, but w/e. It will win tons and tons of awards in the metal and hard rock community and deservingly so.

  • I met him at sonisphere during megadeth's signing session. nice guy and he was the one who approched me and my friend :)

  • Is everybody oblivious to The Infection by Chimaira? That album is CRUSHING!

    My Top 5 goes:

    5. Hatebreed - "Hatebreed"

    4. Shadows Fall - "Retribution"

    3. DevilDriver - "Pray For Villains"

    2. Lamb of God - "Wrath"

    1. Chimaira - "The Infection"

  • mastodon is amazing, instrumentally there one of the best in the biz and they stay to there roots

  • crack the skye best album of the last 100yrs

  • metal is defined by so much more than heaviness, brutality, and evilness. its supposed to be the open minded music genre where you arent supposed to worry about labels where the judgment is based on a persons viewpoint not what somebody says they should be. your opinion is valid but arguing that a band doesnt deserve recognition simply because they dont fit your view of what is metal is just asinine. ie: I dont think city of fire is a metal band but they absolutely deserve to be on this list

  • I think that the massive amount of praise directed at Mastodon is 100% deserved, one of the greatest bands of our time.

  • i don't got shit on other music, that i tell you, people can listen to whatever they want to listen, but when you go and call dudes like porcupine tree heavy metal, then you got a problem with me, say is fucking rock, say is fucking punk, but never say is metal if is not, and never use your media to make it look like is metal so the bad ass wannabe kids jump on it like pigs on shit, MTV icon metallica is your example, total butchering of thrash metal classics by talentless fashion bands.

  • I mean tainting something for not being metal is pathetic. If you just opened your mind a little, you'd realise how incredible Porcupine Tree's music is. It's musicians like Steven Wilson that remind us why music exists; the freedom of expression and the freedom of experimentation.
