  • holyshit! your accent aint heavy at all!

can you actually speak portuguese? (I suppose just singin is a whole lot easier)

  • obrigado! i can't really speak portuguese at all - i'm working on it though, slowly but surely. i can say many romantic and poetic things (thanks to learning lyrics), but couldn't ask what time it is to save my life!

  • you are Brazilian? (my english is bad.)

  • infelizmente, eu sou um gringo... (and my portuguese is not so good)

  • Good choice! Beautiful song and nice playing! Take a look at CHICAS singing "Baião de rua/menina amanhã de manhã". It really worths!

    Great job!

  • thanks. i've seen these girls on youtube before. they put on a good show - love the vocal harmonies.

  • coitado do tom zé.

  • wow dude how long did u take to get rid of ur gringo accent? more perfect than that it would sound like a brazilian native speaker. but u r not far at all from that.

  • You did a great job!

Your portuguese sounds great so does the guitar! =D And you have a really nice voice.

I really like this song! You should see the "Chicas" version of it... a group composed by 4 women. They gave a "baiao" (another brazilian style of music, typical from the northeast) feeling to it.

    =D

  • All the same, it still sounds like a good way to learn Brazillian Portuguese. Do you happen to know any good English translations of this song?

  • Adorei!!! muito muito muito bom!!!!

  • very good, man

your portuguese is excelent and you play guitar very well, the song is really nice too!

Keep playing brazilian song, I suggest you to find Caetano Veloso, Gilberto Gil, Chico Buarque, João Gilberto and Jorge Ben.

    Congratulations!
