at 2:28 is where my friend fell in love with b5 when it moved over to tnt we made sure and watched in the beginning and then the rest of the series from the beginning yeah he came in late but if you're going to get someone into it what better way than by showing what the white star can do!
Not the most effective tactic actually. All the major tactical systems (weapons, comm, bridge, propulsion, power core) are significantly separated from the fighter bays. All that tactic would have done was disable the launching of more fighters, which are no match to the white stars outside of a thousand to one.
The fighters were nothing, the destroyers were the real threat and targeting the major systems directly is much more effective than through the fighter bays.
I wonder though why the EA didn't continue using shadow tech beyond this battle. This is the only reference of Earth using it and it would have been good to know just how much of the technology improved their ships.
Well firstly. Earthforce was going through shadow tech because of Clark. No clark, no more shadow tech experimenting.
Secondly, Although the PSI Corp was all for helping the shadows at first. They quickly became aware of what the shadows were doing with the Corp. AT first they saw it as them getting n upper hand, After Bester found out what was really going on, i am sure he stopped all shadow tech use, since after season 4, bester was pretty much the upper top of the Corp's leadership.
I don't know if it is canon or not, but I had heard somewhere (possibly Crusade) that there were a few little bits of Shadow technology incorporated into the Warlock class destroyers.

Tho, Earthforce may possibly have continued monkeying around with Shadow technology as a black project.
Psi Corps definitely would've still been using it, right up to the end of the Telepath Wars.
