  • I think you're underestimating the fucking shark itself.

  • Great to see some attention given to 'American Graffiti.' An amazing film. A slice of life that is authentic.

I think anyone that wasn't alive back then can watch the film and have an idea what life in 1962 was like. That was George's accomplishment.

  • AFI should release these award ceremonies on DVD or Blu-ray !

  • there s more to Richard Dreyfuss than just that shark movie (whicxh is a classic dont get me wrong)..but lets not forget the goodbye girl, close encounters and down and out in beverly hills..and his oscar win at the age of 29 :D

  • @Atomsmasher777 I was born in '69, so unfortunately, it was seven years before my time, and maybe it is a shame I missed out on what must have been a wonderful decade, but hey, you can't help when you're born, can you? Besides, the seventies weren't THAT bad!! The swinging sixties were just probably a tough act to follow.

  • Do the blondes sitting down the front know who these guys are?

  • fantastic actor. so underrated in my opinion. should be up there with the likes of Al Pacino and Robert Di Niro. American Graffiti inspired Happy Days, Happy days inspired the world. thank you Richard Dreyfuss

  • Is it just me or for the first minute, did George Lucas seem kind of pissed at something?

  • Best actor in Jaws, Richard Dreyfuss.

  • I completely agree. I was born in the early nineties and when I saw the movie I loved it. It perfectly captures the era, as people who were around back then have told me. Everybody should see it. Plus as a Harrison Ford fan it was hilarious to hear him sing 'Some Enchanted Evening' whilst wearing a cowboy hat.
