@horuz58 If Hitler won against Britain and Russia I have no doubt he'd go for Greenland. Think about it, he would have an AMAZING staging point to launch his attack on Northern Canada. (And when I say launch, I basically mean walk in. Northern Canada is deserted NOW...imagine it 65 years ago?)
Slowly he could move south, attack Toronto, Calgary, Vancouver etc. From there he simply works his way down.

@horuz58 It would be a great strategic point for the war

@malelion Try to understand than you and your territory will dive to anarchy if danish give to greenland a indipendence. You are too stupid to care for yourself

@dave19941000 Yeah, but I don't see any reason they would need to be in the same country for that. The cultural bonds can easily still be nurtured separate from each other.
And besides, it's going to take several decades before Greenland is ready for independence. They only just started having self-governance. When the Faeroes still have a long way to go, I think Greenland, with its massive infrastructural challenges, will have to wait even longer.

@meh23p Most of the Greenlandic population are Inuit (88%) and Canada has almost all of the remaining Inuit peoples (the exception being the few in Alaska and Siberia).

@dave19941000 Why... why would they want that? Ottawa is almost as far away as Copenhagen. What on earth is your reasoning behind this? o.O
Denmark is rich, if Greenlad declares the independence it won't be so rich like Denmark.

Lived in Greenland for 2 months in 2009. Got the feeling that they don't want total independence right now. But if they do I wish them luck if they do want it! Greenlanders are probably the nicest people I've ever met, but quite reserved. I think they can do it if they really desire it and work hard to build their country!
