I was dx with rheumatic fever at the age of 7 I then developed chorea. (jerky movements which affected my movements and handwriting) From the age of 7 to 21 I received a monthly bicillin shots. I have been off antibiotics for 2 years now and have not had any problems.

I also had RF when i was 14,
It was affecting my joints a lot.....a hell lot of swelling and pain in the knees..
I am still taking penicillin...and earlier it hurts like hell...but now i am used to it....
My Dr. told me to stop the med. when I will be 21 (next year)....hurray...

I had RF when I was 7 years old. It affected my heart and I got a heart murmur/ vowel leakage. I am 19 now and not sure of my health now... I stopped taking my meds too early...

I had strep throat, the pencillin hurt like HELL (I had two high dosage penicillin injections per day)
I hope I never get it again, the injections are pure murder.
