ID2Q v4 (Adobe InDesign to QuarkXPress) Video Tutorial

ID2Q v4, Markzwares new Adobe InDesign to QuarkXPress conversion XTension, video demonstration.


1 Hello I am Olga and will give you a demonstration on the new ID2Q v4 from Markzware. In this tutorial I will show you how easy it is to convert an InDesign CS2, CS 3 or CS4 document into QuarkXPress 7 and now also QuarkXPress 8.

La semaine dernière je devais convertir un fichier InDesign au fichier QuarkXPress pour un client qui nutilise que le logiciel QuarkXPress. Dans ce film dinstruction je vais vous montrer comment convertir facilement un fichier InDesign CS3 au un fichier QuarkXPress 7.

2 This is the original InDesign document.
It has multiple pages, lots of high-res images and pretty complex typography with various fonts and styles used.

Ici vous voyez le fichier InDesign original. Ce fichier a .pages, beaucoup dimages et une typographie compliquée.

3 Let's leave it there.

Nous laissons de côté le fichier pour linstant.

4 After purchasing the ID2Q v4 XTension from a reseller or online I place it in the QuarkXPress Xtension folder (just as easy as it sounds) and we are ready to go.

Jachetais lextension ID2Q et je lai mis dans le répertoire des extensions QuarkXPress. (Cest aussi facile quil semble)

5 Now the ID2Q function can be found under the Utilities menu.

Maintenant, la fonction ID2Q peut être trouvé dans le menu des utilités.

6 Select it and open the InDesign document that you'd like to convert.

Sélectionnez-le et ouvrez le fichier InDesign que vous voudriez convertir.

7 Click on ok and the file converts in just couple of seconds. It is as easy as a click! Also, please keep in mind that ID2Q is for Macintosh or Windows and can even do a cross-platform conversion!

Cliquez sur OK et le fichier sera converti dans quelques secondes.

8 As you can see the conversion is more then 90% accurate.
Comme vous pouvez voir la conversion est plus de 90% exacte.

9 Now I can just continue in QuarkXPress without having to recreate the entire document, saving me a ton of time and thus saving money.

Et maintenant je peut continuer à travailler avec le logiciel QuarkXPress sans reconstruire le fichier entier.

10 ID2Q v4 can be purchases via a local reseller or online. It costs only 199 and is available for Macintosh or Windows. As mentioned before, it is an XTension for QuarkXPress 7 or 8.
