Pittsburgh Opera presents Benjamin Britten's 'The Rape of Lucretia' featuring the Resident Artists of Pittsburgh Opera. In this ancient tale that inspired Shakespeare, the innocent Lucretia falls prey to an arrogant young man, her husband's friend. Despite the tragedy, her fidelity remains radiant until the very end in Britten's intimate, even spiritual, "chamber opera."
