@verygrumpyoldman some users only can criticize things they perhaps would naver be able to do? I was there, and it was lovely and extraordinary :-) You could at least watch the concert in the digital concert hall and then speak. And you can make people say what they never meant to say by qouting them maliciously and leaving out important parts of the context. What for?

A very grumpy old man obviously can only accept veryold conductors described as "the best". Though the wealth of experience is important: It is not everything. And that you can see at Nézet-Séguin. One cannot comment on taste. But holding the head in shame follows to head shaking for my part.

If I were Canadian, I would hold my head down in shame... Is this the best Canada can offer? Besdies, I'm sure Berlin Phil would be chuffed to bits knowing that, according to Mr Seguin's interview, "there is no real difference between conducting Berlin Phil and the Orchestre du Grand Metropolitain de Montreal"...
