  • YOu remind me of myself roebuck, i used to think i was pretty strong for my size in your case your age, i was the MAN in my gym, no one could really outlift me, i then moved to a powerlifting gym, and man that was a lesson in being humble, i seen people who overcame so many more obstacles and lifted far more. Guess what? my lifts skyrocketed...its all about who you surround yourself with and your mental perception... So please get serious roebuck, cancel ur membership at that curves lol.

  • @thearmchairexpert I guess I like the view better at curves and being the MAN that inspires the lesser lifters! I really rather be the big fish in a small pond than be just another lifter in a big gym! LOL

  • Your deadlifting 395...whats the big deal honestly... about 3/4 of the highschool athletes had at least a 405 deadlift...a 405 deadlift is achiveable with only about 1-2 years of lifting..

  • @thearmchairexpert but very few over 50 can deadlift 405 ...

  • WHy no shoes? I'm new to this and I'm curious.

  • @ctfam I can't afford them! LOL but seriously you get better transfer of force from the floor to feet without the thickness of shoes

  • @thearmchairexpert 3/4? Are you on crack?

  • Is raw deadlift better than using a belt?

  • @ctfam it also makes the lift a little easier by decreasing the distance you have to pull the bar.

  • Just trying to help you sir. Look up the deadlift records for 70 year olds and be amazed. Your setting limits for yourself. Your mentality should be 405 is nothing and it honestly is, a healthy male even 50 year olds can obtain that with a few years of so so lifting. Push yourself get 500 +. you can do it, just stop setting limits. Its really all mental.
