Spore: How to beat the Grox

How to Eliminate the Grox in Spore. (Please watch with annotations on before making any more comments to the effect of "you did it wrong!" or "Terraforming is easier.")

Please note that this is the Empire Building method. The purpose of putting a colony on every world you conquer is to keep the Grox from conquering all of your planets by adding to the sheer volume of your empire. You WILL be attacked many times with this method, as your colonies will be in close proximity to many Grox worlds. This can be alleviated by placing colonies on more than one planet in any given system. This is because a bug in the game mechanics means that an alien race cannot attack more than one planet in any given system. So, if they destroy one planet in your system, the Grox will be unable to destroy the other, until they fix this bug.

how long does it take for you to take out the grox? i mean seriously dont they have more than 5000 star systems or something? and arent some spots just unreachable?

@jvk9713 If I remember correctly, they have exactly 2300 systems at the start of your first space stage.

@MCInventions It didn't take very long at all. Unfortunately, you can't actually complete it, in some senses. Some things just never get done.

@zambelimama If I wanted all of the other sentient species nearby to declare war on me, then I would. But I don't like it when allies do that, so I tend to avoid the planet buster.

I have some guys that are taking out the grox. They started off in he middle and worked their way out, all my colonys are T2 or T3 and they all have Uber Turrets on them.

Wrong! 2400 at the start! I start by using cheats to conquer my surroundings then colonize my way through to the Grox and start attack them

@RefreshGhost I never use allies because they always die and it decreases your relationship with them. So I find it wiser to never have allies so I can beat the crap out of the Grox!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
