Super Mario 64 - Stair Glitch Through Door

This is just a video of me going through the door in Super Mario 64 after trying quite a few times unsuccessfully to do it. Seems my sound messed up when I recorded it (N64 hooked to computer through capture card) doesn't seem to like the close up view, had the Lakitu camera angles earlier and the sound was fine... anyway, posting this here for anyone can watch it done on something other than an emulator.

This also showed me that the glitch is still possible even with more than enough stars to open the door normally like I usually do to get in there. I did this mainly because I was curious if it would still work since I had been through the door many times normally.

@benhakak I think you can get through with less if you glitch through the other door that is locked first.

you do realise that you were able to do that anyway with 120 stars !!!

Yeah, but I didn't want to play through the game again far enough to do it again with less.

@benhakak you can complete the whole game with 0 stars if you really want to (the only thing you need to do are the 3 bowser battles, they are all reachable with glitches like this one)

@JOONGSEIS its a glitch, that was the point, to do it with any amount of stars.

i used a different glitch for the previous door and ended up with 17 stars then when i tried to do this glitch it wouldn't work but then the door let me through without enough stars and. i can also go to the final battle without enough stars. im not sure if this is an emulation glitch or a normal one
