  • Yeah, cause everybody knows students love spending spring break in Tijuana and Ciudad Juarez. Of course I'm being sarcastic. The overwhelming majority of the violence is going on those two towns, but tourist destinations like Cancun, Cabo, and Puerto Vallarta are safe. The only one that might be kind of risky is Acapulco. Still, it's just ridiculous how they've thrown the entire country under the bus knowing that the this issue is only present in a few border towns.

  • what about a warning to Israel where there are rocket attacks almost everyday and were they were at war just months ago?

whtat about a warning to Russia where there is an ethnic cleansing taking place? or maybe to Iran where women have to cover their hair even if they are tourists. why not a warning to india or pakistan with all the terrorist issues they have?

or maybe you should stay in your school, after all american schools are so safe, they would never shoot you there. (sarcasm)

  • @eLTurbo86 lol i know

  • this is what our goverment is bringing to america why didnt obama run for president of mexico if thats what he wanted

  • Mexico may be the most interesting country in west africa, but spain is still the most advanced country in north africa.

  • @russiablows88 it depends on the clothes you wear though, its easy to spot tourist

  • lol. my family is from reynosa. hell, reynosa is a freaken drug city.

  • I don't think it will stop the kids from going down to spring break.

  • This is pretty typical reporting from the highly deceptive mass media in the U.S. It is no wonder Americans are so scared to leave the country. The world would be a lot safer place if Americans were forced to spend at least one year in another country, learn another language and culture. And I don't mean as part of the military.

  • Mexican murder rate is twice that of the US. BUT, the US murder rate is 10X that of Britain. The state department should be warning British tourists to stay away. It's ten times more dangerous for them to visit US than it is for us to visit Mexico. Can't argue with facts, my friends.

The biggest threat to spring break college students is spring break college students. Alcohol-related accidents, overdoses, drownings kill more US students in Mexico than have been harmed by mexican violence.

  • Mexico looks like East LA and Oakland, about the same violence too.
