Sorry , great music but that orchestra sounds like there tuning up.

Can really hear the Stravinsky influence here. Check out my original song tribute, "Here's To Alfred Hitchcock," where I reference "North By Northwest." Just click on my name below or search "CraigASilver."

WHAT THE FUCK! I was watching Batman: The Animated Series(Episode 4: The Last Laugh) and from the very beginning the music playing in the background seemed very familiar(and it kept on playing for most of the episode). I couldn't be sure until I checked and yes, it's pretty much just like the theme for North by Northwest.

I'm in love with Cary Grant. I wish i could have met him. .. Uhhh, If only time travel was possible. :(

The words "North Northwest" can actually be seen in the movie. In the scene where Cary Grant and Leo G. Carroll are walking on the tarmac to the plane look at the airline logos on the stairs in the background. The "Northwest" on one covers the "west" on the "Northwest" behind it and we see "North Northwest". Since the two are next to each other they are "by" each other which means we see "North" by "Northwest".

@d0dgeball That line is only great when Cary Grant is delivering it.

@vomitgorefromheaven I don't think it's an insult to Hitchcock; he did extraordinary things with film. Imagine if he had the tools of modern filmmakers.

@pfcwar5150 You made me laugh. ;)

I am only mad north by northwest. When the wind is southerly I know a hawk from a handsaw.
1 person is going south by southeast

@vanshma How can you say that Hitchcok is the Nolan of the 50s? Nolan is pretty good, but he ain't nothing close to Hitchie.
