...wonderful shaky camera ata...thanx for this... I was 3rd generation- 2 great uncles, dad then me (left '70 aged 16)..I recall RSM O'Leary's "Get your hair cut nancy boy!" Lindsay Anderson's "If" in Canterbury's trippy ABC clutching our dry biscuit boaters. Barry Blake's "Stand up when Nanny comes into the room!". Philip Hardwick's Gothic building crawling with cockroaches on the ground floor at night...yes true... I was there!

I think Roger Royle left about the same time as me. Don't remember if we were friends or not. Friends I do remember : Graeme Draper, Berwick Wells, Mickey Baxter...

I think John Cox died recently. I knew HA ('Nic') Nickols; he was second master during my time in the 70s. Chris Peto also died recently. Do you remember Roger Royle?

and everyone must know Jock Baily. I'm sorry to hear you thought it was awful... I gather many thought the same (including my brother). Guess I managed to fly below (or above) the radar & never had any serious problems. Been back twice or so since I left.. just for a fleeting visit.

I seem to remember Mr Cox being head of the junior school & appearing in an Army Captain's uniform at CCF parades (I was in the band). Geoff Pass had been with the RAF during the war I think and he had a reputation for being a bit sadistic. I remember Guy Hawkins (he was 1 or 2 years above me I think.
Others Chris Peto, Mr Kedge, Mr Nichols (wagner housemaster), Dr Kahn (Latin & German), RSM O'Leary. In between the few bad times there were lots of good times with many happy memories.

So you'll remember people like John Cox, Geoffrey Pass, Robin & Guy Hawkins, and Jock A-Bailey?

I was there during Wm Thoseby's tenure as Head. Left in '57. It was tough - either made you or broke you. But bad memories fade with time, the good ones remain. Good to see the place again, and still recognizable after all these years. Anyone else there in the 50's ?
hey this aint ten years ago mr marshalls rock collection is still there

@ayoskerung44 Hi there. It's "10 years on", 10 years from when I left. The Video was taken in 2007. I have another video on this channel of Mark Barnard in the high street. Mark is the son of Mr and Mrs Barnard you might know. I remember Mr and Mrs Barnard both being really nice, and it was good to see Mark again.

Sorry if I reminded you of something you didn't want reminded of. I was there in the 90s, I wouldn't call it heaven, but it wasn't that bad.
