  • @helgaullarsokkur just taking it up a tick or two would make a world of difference. I'm having the same problem with the Chaminade Concertino, I'm playing right now. And even though it's a deliberate amount ofw work to breathe where I should, I get through it much more easily. =]

But don't stress about it as you head into your exam, just make sure that when you breathe it's a quality breath that'll help your tone sound great. =]

  • @macmarge If I play it any faster then my fingers cant keep up! :'D I guess I gotta find some balance between speed and breathing..it's hard. I always run out of breath in some places...and the worst thing is that I have to preform it in about 3 weeks on a....flute test thingy? I don't know what it's called in english. Lets hope I don't screw it up too bad. :P

  • @helgaullarsokkur if you've only been playing flute for a year and a half, you're doing great to tackle this piece!

if the notes are there but the air isn't, you might want to speed it up.

this performance was considerably under tempo (so the strings could keep up). =P

    -maggie.

  • @macmarge I haven't preformed it yet but I hope I will do it someday. I'm still practising and struggling with air and stuff, but Its coming around. :) I think there's about one year since I first played it, and i've gotten a lot better. I only started the flute about 1 and a half year ago. (had played the clarinet for a million years though)

  • @helgaullarsokkur thank you!

if you're performed it yet, how'd it go? =]]

  • @selenamaryha thank you so much! :D
