Grace Digital introduces the TAPE-2-USB cassette deck. This high performance cassette deck connects to a computer via the included USB cable and converts the information on cassette tapes to a wide variety of digital audio formats. It also works as a standard cassette recording deck. Transfer the audio on your cassette tapes to digital audio before the information is lost forever. Perfect for books-on-tape and recordings of weddings and other special occassions.

  • I bought this item and there are problems with it. First of all it's silver. Does that mean it's an older model? I don't know. But,Audacity is NOT included. They tell you the link in the manual on where to download it.

Doing a simple 30 minutes cassette, it makes a bunch of useless files that I need to manually merge and convert using Audacity to make a simple mp3.

  • Hi. I was wondering if you know how to temporarily disable the built in microphone on a laptop to use this? The software it comes with is only good for win xp or vista. You have to go to their website to download the beta for win 7, which is what I use and the instructions they give you are only for windows xp or vista, and not win 7, hence my aggravation. If you can help me, I'd be really grateful. Maybe if your going to get one, we can help each other use it? Sincerely, David

  • @thisislandearth Sounds like your pc was recording your mic input as well as the cassette deck.

  • I bought one of these. It took me close to an hour to set up the software and to figure out how to actually use the device. The manual is outdated number one, The software is outdated. If you are running windows 7, you have to manually download the program. The icing on the cake is trying to figure out how to record. Once I did, I was relieved I was making some headway, however, as you record, the device picks up every noise in the house and recordds it with the cassette! DON't BUY THIS!
