The Odeum Guitar Duo (Robert Wetzel & Fred Benedetti) performs live informally in the lobby of Scripps Clinic in
La Jolla, California for recovering patients during the Christmas season of December, 1998.
At the beginning of the film they are performing the conclusion of the third movement from Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Duo K. 423, arranged by Robert Wetzel for two guitars, which the Odeum Guitar Duo recorded a year later in 1999 onto their second very successful CD entitled, "Forgotten Romance".
A complete performance of "Introduction and Fandango" by Luigi Boccherini, which was included on the duo's award winning debut CD, "Concert Hall Classics", follows the Mozart excerpt. Their first CD was chosen by Acoustic Guitar magazine to be one of the ten best independently produced CDs of 2000.
Both of their CDs are available as downloads on the
Concert Hall Records label at:

This is non-digital film footage taken by an employee of Scripps Clinic's Gluck Chamber Music Series who also broadcasted the performance to all of the rooms throughout the building so that all of the patients who were in their rooms unable to attend could otherwise also enjoy the musical performance by the entertaining guitarists.
Guitars by Miguel Rodriguez of Cordoba, Spain.
