This is so all funds given to support the work of Mercy ships actually gets thru to the people of africa rather than being consumed in the living/ running expenses of the ship. Many staff are sponsored to volunteer for mercy ships, so it's not a barrier to volunteering paying modest fees to cover living exp and insurance.The charity does not profit and it does fantastic work in transforming lives- we have so much, people in africa are dying for lack of basic access to medicine, good on them

im currently a year 12 student in Australia and im doing an AIN nursing course and hopefully i can go on to do regestired nursing and then midwifery. i would really love to go to africa and help the people over there after i have finished my courses. its one of my goals. this video is great and the nurses are great too!
