@chrisz78 Thank you for your historical perspective. I am very interested in the use of Vocaloids in non-Pop music because the voices can present an austere baseline tone. It is sometimes too plain, but still can restore a style to its fundamentals.

@ObliquePerfection92 Sorry to disagree, but with her very high-pitched clear bright voice she's quite close to the sound of the legendary divas we hear on old 78rpm records like Nellie Melba, Luisa Tetrazzini or Mado Robin. The idea that "classical" singing must be throathy and vibrato-laden is a recent one, a vulgarization of a formerly much more restrained and pure style. Maybe we need vocaloids today to recreate this, as there don't seem to be many real women around who can do it...

A lot more throat is needed. Her voice is just too high pitched to perform this cantanta. I love Miku, but cantantas aren't her territory.
