@agonyuncle I was a kid living in Stock in the 70's. I would often see a group of kids ambling about accompanied by an adult. They seemed pretty harmless, just doing their own thing. Often I'd see them frolicking in Swan Woods. I always knew they were from some home locally, but didn't know the name of the place. There was a slightly plump one with straight hair and glasses who, inspite of not knowing me at all, would always offer me a sweet , even if I was on the opposite side of the road.
