  • I had no idea there was a movie by this title. Is this the same show that was on Broadway the year before with Ginger Rogers?

  • Yes! Same show! Too bad Ginger didn't get to do the movie. She was apparently busy on the east coast at the time.

  • @Aaron1912 what's the name of the film? I've visited your channel each day since I know it, but I would like to have more information about her...

  • wow thought was going to see everrett Horton doing lets knock knees. this is peppy and delightful. LL is great and Joe E pretty light on his feet too

  • Is anyone else seeing Renee Zellweger here? o.O

This person looks so much like her character 'Roxy Heart' in Chicago.

  • Happy Birthday Laura Lee. 101 today and still alive and knocking those knees.

  • Typical of early sound musicals; a lot of them had similar "how-to-do-a-new-dance" numbers like this. Unfortunately, the technology at the time was inadequate to clearly record and play back singing, so usually the convoluted lyrics aren't very understandable, especially when they're sung by a chorus.

  • Someone over at TCM really likes Joe E. Brown, because they usually do a day-long tribute to his films every year on his birthday. That's when I caught this one, and this particular number was such a wonderful surprise.

  • I just posted this same video @ my channel,

where I cut the org soundtrack & added BETTY BOOP' MUSIC '29

    vocal by HELEN KANE!!!

    tried to attach the video*

thanks for checking out my video2,

    Rosiey

  • Laura Lee is sooo aborable in this. This is her claim to fame I think!

  • Happy Birthday Laura Lee. 100 today and still knocking knees!

  • Fab number, really fun. On another note (ha) Anyone know where the lockstep number can be found in full?
