@dreamingmoonstar As the person who posted the video (on my other channel) I can say that it was hot when I was there, and I think the seawater was clean. However, in the UK I am afraid that it is like winter for 10 months of the year, and hot days are rare!

So good to see so many people enjoying Margate beach,I was born there and remember it in it's heyday,a pretty much idylic life really.AZor61 do you remember the coffee lounges/ice cream parlours called Pelossis ? Hope I've spelt it right.

I'm sad for Margate. I can remember it as it once was.

Good old Margate - I love it. My uncle had a restaurant in Cliftonville (Angelos)

I didn't go back there this year, but would like to go again (when we get a better summer!)

The beach seems to have plenty of space on it. Years ago I remember it used to be a lot busier in August.

It was a one-off good day in a pretty poor summer.

All the beaches in Thanet, Margate, Broadstairs, Ramsgate are sandy unlike Brighton with pebbles and shingle.

As another cold Easter approaches, I am so looking forward to the sort of summer day depicted in this video! Brighton (my local beach) is shingly, but it has a vibrant atmosphere, and is not bad for swimming.
