Video testimony of Ken Dakin who programmed the mainframe spreadsheet system known as the "Works Records System" at ICI in Cheshire, UK in 1974. This was six years before the first PC spreadsheet "Visicalc" and had many features missing in the later PC spreadsheet.. It also used "just-in-time" compilation techniques and "control tables" extensively and was written entirely in IBM Assembly language.
