This is about the 5th window glazing video ive watched, why dont you guys paint the window first rather than putting a weather beaten old huckery one that will rot back in. Its easiest when the glass is out.

in this day and age we dont use back putty, just silicon on one side and the putty or timber bead on the other. they used back putty back in the day before silicon was a mainstream item.
