Sheridan Park Firefighters responded this morning for a report of a house explosion with victims inside on Hale Ct. Tonawanda Police were on location reporting a working fire with victims on the ground. Sheridan Park 9-1 went on location with fire through the roof from an explosion & victims down on the ground, & requested Paramedics to step it up.Operations reported a partial roof collapse & defensive operation were ordered. Mutual aid companies were Brighton, City of Tonawanda (FAST), Kenmore, Ellwood, & Kenilworth (fill in @ Sheridan Park Station 1). The fire was placed under control in 49 minutes. The cause is under investigation & damages are listed at $90,000.

My first guess would be a gas leak. or improper lighting of an appliance. That looks like a gas exhaust chimney near the end that blew out.
Given that there were multiple calls, there could not have been much time between ignition and response. That was one fast-movig fire.
