Head on the Ball should perhaps be better called " Eyes on the Ball" because it gives an athlete an opportunity to develop hard focus. Hard focus cannot be maintained for long periods but it is critical for the athlete to hit the ball. Mike Kellogg can guide you in learning this hard focus ability with his innovative tool.

  • We r In a tournamnet in bend and I just got back from a game after I watched this video an I hit a homerun!!! Hard focus is important thx for posting

  • @4everteamalice That's great!! I think Pete Rose said it best: "see the ball, hit the ball". But my favorite is Yogi Berra: "you can't think and hit". Be relaxed at the plate focusing on nothing but seeing the ball well. Of course during practice work on knee drive, hand position, getting the hands through, rotation with head down etc etc..........but at game time..........release your mind to the flight path of the ball. GREAT JOB!!! Keep swinging!!

  • where did you get that thing you put on her helmet?

  • Thank you for the post!! Good luck this season. Remember to be relaxed at the plate firm grip, loose muscles, and keep your headontheball ! ! !

  • that girl is taking way to big of a step when she hits

  • The trainer should have had a pep talk prior to recording...no pivot on the back foot, no step at 12o'clock. What the heck is this guy teaching this girl?

  • And rotating into the pitch with her hands back. And less motion with the front foot and a dozen other things. Thank you for the comment. I'm not this young ladies hitting coach :-(. I only wish I had more time. She is a sweet kid and she'll get it if she sticks with it!! Thanks again. Mike Kellogg~President~HOTB

  • Keeping your head down, check. Now work on rolling her wrists and not being off balance during her swing.
