At Chichen Itza, clapping while standing on the east side of the Castle pyramid produces a sound that some say sounds like the call of the quetzal bird. The echo is easiest to hear in the first few seconds of the video.

  • They designed it by using the circumstancial coincidence theory. It's really quite brilliant and complex, found only in places where sound can reflect back towards it's origin with the help of a SOLID FUCKIN' ROCK FACE. In laymens terms; ECHO !

  • what kind of effect does the sound have inside? clapping or resonating sounds? just a thought!

  • kuk of kukulkan

  • i was there last week and it amazed me how they designed it to produce that noise after a clap and that u can only hear it in certian areas
