Just my opinion. But that man in the wheelchair can be depicted as the angel of death, since there was a scene where he said the nurses couldn't see him. The scene where the two first met. The passing of strawberry could be a symbolic moment as if saying that would be her last meal on earth or something along that line. Which gives light to possibly why she hesitated and cried when eating the strawberry.
