University of Hawaii Campus - Peace Day 2010

Saqib Ul Islam, Urdu VOA News, Honolulu, Hawaii Peace Day Hawaii is celebrated each year on September 21. It is one of thousands of events being held by nearly 200 countries around the world. In July 2007, Hawaii became the first state to officially recognize the United Nations International Day of Peace, To promote peace programs, improve international relations, and increase educational awareness of peace in Hawaii and around the world.
Saqib ul Islam takes us to the University of Hawaii and shows how the students, faculty and and community members commemorates the state's annual Peace Day.
