This song is good example of the situation we are in right now. Politicians who are Talking Heads and with their empty talk, lead us on a Road to Nowhere!

This was the perfect merging of pop and art/philosophy. It almost seemed there could be intelligence, satire, and art expressed through music. Talking Heads were the last band to really do this on a grand scale. David Byrne is a complete and utter genius. Still is.

No. That's is not at all what this song is about. Listen to the lyrics. It's a philosophical view on the cyclical nature of life; a zen approach to living life. It's saying enjoy the journey without concern of the destination. It's not political at all. It's a celebratory view of the mystery of life.

Great song. 1985. Great year. Maybe too intellectual for some.
