Bella wakes feeling in pain - physically and emotionally - anxious about Edward's possible thoughts while she slept. When she gets to school, Bella feels anxious about Edward's "off" behavior. She hopes to get some insight from Alice later in the day. But Alice is nowhere to be found at lunch - apparently she's with Jasper and they've gone away for awhile to Denali where another covenant of "good" vampires live. This makes Bella feel horrible about breaking up the Cullen family ...

What do you guys think of the Edward-Bella Breakup? Did Edward do the right thing or was he too harsh on Bella, I mean taking away the CD and photos? He must have known this was going to kill her. And Knowing how clumsy Bella is, maybe a phone breakup would have been better, What do you guys think?

It was a harsh time for me too, when Edward left her.. saying "you are not enough" ....a depressing moment, but his eyes were saying the contrary... he was just fighting his feelings... I cried as well... awful!!!

i think that them breaking up was FAR to much. he should have atLEAST brought her with him and changed her. (soiler alert is you havin read the 4th book-->) in the 4th book he changes her anyway? i cried. it was just so sadd. this is my least fav chaper because it is just so sad. )':

of couse edward was way to harsh on bella. you would know this becasuse of the ending in new moon. edward says he regrets breaking up and will never leave her side until she orders her away.

dont think he should have done it over the phone but i might have been better if he told her simply that he found someone else and just left. it would have worked and realize she could move on with jake.
