@saundersophile Have you now watched Karen and Nicky in Dragon Dance? (1985), it's one of my favourites. Their movements and the music are beautiful. And enjoy their New Fangled Tango!

Thanks for sharing! I hadn't watched this performance yet. Eurosport doesn't cover many events, but luckily we have internet now. :-) This is one of my favourite Ice dance programs ever.

Glad you will look for the Barber/Slater routine. I often watch it, I think it was skated at the same time that Torville and Dean won Gold for their Bolero. It had the audience on its feet. Okay, it is not as cheeky and funny as the dance you commented on, but it was truly a lovely routine. I hope you enjoy it, let me know what you think.

Thank you for the tip, I'm inordinately fond of Karen Barber, will definitely look for that routine.

@saundersophile Another excellent programme to watch is Karen Barber and Nikky Slater doing their Charlie Chaplin Routine, I think it was Sarayavo the same year Jane and Chris did the Bolero. The Karen and Nikki programme was funny and exquisite.

Christopher Dean is hot.

Thank you very much for the reply!

Only in professional competitions or in exhibition performance, sadly. Kurt Browning and Scott Hamilton are also very good at this sort of program.

Wonderful! I'm falling for this partnership with every video I see. Could someone much more au fait with the wonderful world of skating tell me if this kind of humour, creativity and cheekiness is commonplace in skating?
does any1 no wat the name if the routine dat they do were dey are dressed in dung-ger-ree's and jayne has 2 long plaits in her hair and wearn a straw hat i av a feeling it was recorded in d 90's but i see it in a lot of video combinations of these 2 xx
