one of the greatest knockouts you will EVER SEE!!! just look at the final punches that put Oleg down. not only did Whitaker switch stances to pull this off, he put so much power into the last 2 shots that Oleg is LIFTED OFF THE CANVAS AND DROPPED DIRECTLY ONTO HIS BACK! Whitaker was the most underachieving heavyweight of his time. if he actually had the desire to reach the top (he most certainly DID NOT), he wouldve reached it without even having to try. all the skill in the world, zero desire.

Whitaker had a decent inside fight in this fight. He fired that right hand from inside. Maskaev didnt see that one coming from a fighter with such long arms. Thing I dont like about Whitaker is that his jab is pathetic. If he had a jab like Cooney, he would have been much more successful.

Lance Whitaker, Larry Donald, Monte Barrett, those guys were top level contenders over so many years without ever being champion. A shame that they are one by one retiring.
