Due to copyright in the background music playing in the beginning of the video (the hotel has background music playing outside the elevator), I have decided to edit it out by placing one of my own songs over it, which has been modified to sound like it was actually playing in the background while I took the video. No this is not audio-swap, the edit music only plays for the first 20 seconds of the video, and the video sounds are not edited or silenced in any way.
Anyways, these are the elevators at the Sheraton in Downtown Columbia, SC. This building was built in 1913 as the Palmetto Building, which had bank offices and a vault in the lobby. It was later vacated, and then renovated and reopened as a Sheraton hotel in July 2008, one month before I took my first video of these elevators. The hotel is loaded with restaurants, including the Main Street Grill (on Lower Level), the Posh Restaurant (Mezzanine Level), and the Rooftop Restaurant (17th Floor), which was apparently closed and gated off when elevatorgeek88 and I were there. The vault was converted to a bar called "The Vault", and the bank's main security desk became the hotel's front desk. Also, the elevators, which were formerly Otis, were heavily modernized by ThyssenKrupp.
@dmelevator1 But the videos may get flagged for copyright for that.

The MPAA and RIAA are unbelievable when it comes to protecting copyrighted music. They should worry about the music being distributed on Frostwire and The Pirate Bay rather than a freaking 20 second clip on YouTube for God's sake!
Anyways I do like those double 2-speed doors. I should have more videos coming in about 2 weeks.
